Some people see a faint glow when X-rays pass through their eyes
Observers exposed to sufficiently intense X-rays have sometimes reported a dim glow, especially after adapting to darkness. Researchers have proposed several explanations, including visible light produced within the eye by radiation. The phenomenon is unusual because X-rays themselves lie outside the wavelengths human eyes normally detect.
