When does the Iron Age actually begin

The Iron Age did not begin when humans first used iron

Using iron was not enough to mark the transition. Archaeologists date the beginning of the Iron Age in each region to the point when smelted iron—especially carbon-steel tools and weapons—replaced bronze in common use. Because that shift happened at different times, the Iron Age has no single global starting date.
