How sea slugs keep chloroplasts and photosynthesize

Some mollusks photosynthesize for months

They retain chloroplasts taken from algae in their bodies. Those captured structures allow the mollusks to survive solely through photosynthesis for several months, rather than relying on another food source during that period.
