Mehrgarh’s farming may not have been imported
Mehrgarh, a site in South Asia, shared cultural similarities with sites in the Near East. But evidence suggests barley and zebu cattle were domesticated locally, so those similarities do not mean farming was simply brought in from elsewhere.
