Chimpanzees and elephants can suddenly work out a solution
When food was placed out of reach, chimpanzees and Asian elephants have been seen suddenly moving boxes into place and standing on them. Because they sometimes found the solution without slowly trying many different actions first, researchers have treated this as evidence of insight.
