Chimpanzees and elephants can suddenly figure out a solution

When food was placed out of reach, chimpanzees and Asian elephants have been observed suddenly moving boxes into position and using them as platforms. Because the solution appeared without gradual trial and error, researchers have used the behavior as evidence for insight.
