Why cephalopod eyes do not have a blind spot

Cephalopod eyes have no blind spot

In human and other vertebrate eyes, nerves sit in front of the light-sensing cells, creating a blind spot where the nerves leave the eye. In octopuses and other cephalopods, the nerves sit behind these cells instead, so there is no such blind spot.
