Infants retain memories earlier than expected
Up To 1 Year
Six-month-olds can recall information after a day, nine-month-olds after several weeks, and 20-month-olds after as long as a year. Accurate recall of the order in which actions occurred develops later, so remembering information and remembering its sequence do not emerge together.
