Most “Sea Peoples” appear to have traveled by land
“Sea Peoples” is a modern label for several groups who raided Egypt and other parts of the eastern Mediterranean. Despite the name, most appear to have traveled by land. Recent scholarship tends to view them as refugees fleeing a crisis already underway, rather than as the main cause of the Bronze Age collapse.
