Why quantum teleportation transfers rather than copies a state

Quantum teleportation does not copy a state

Shared entanglement lets Bob reconstruct Alice’s unknown quantum state after Alice performs a joint measurement and sends him the classical results. The original state is destroyed in the process, so teleportation transfers it rather than making a copy.
