How a supermassive black hole can have the density of water

A giant black hole can average water-like density

100 million solar masses

Although supermassive black holes contain enormous masses, their average density inside the Schwarzschild radius can be much lower than that of stellar black holes. For a black hole with 100 million solar masses, that average density is comparable to water.
