Red dwarfs could greatly increase the number of potentially habitable planets
≈40 billion
One estimate suggests the Milky Way may contain about 11 billion Earth-sized planets in potentially habitable orbits around Sun-like stars. If planets around much more common red dwarf stars are included, the estimate rises to about 40 billion.
