One ship can have two claims to being original

The Ship of Theseus is a thought experiment about a vessel whose planks are replaced over time. The rebuilt ship keeps the original form, while a ship made from the discarded planks keeps the original material. Each has a different claim to being the original.

Writing was invented independently in several places

Writing did not begin once and then spread everywhere. Cuneiform and Egyptian hieroglyphs appeared in the Near East, Chinese writing developed in China, and writing systems appeared separately in Mesoamerica.

Dreams can seem predictive because we remember the hits

People tend to remember dreams that seem to predict later events and forget the many dreams that do not. In experiments where dreams were written down before the outcome was known, they did not accurately predict the future.
